Reset a forgotten Trustaroo password

If you cannot remember your password, Trustaroo emails you a reset link. You set a new password from that link and sign in again. The whole thing takes a few minutes, most of it waiting for the email.

Steps

  1. Go to my.trustaroo.app and follow the forgot-password link under the sign-in form.
  2. Enter the email address of your Trustaroo account and submit the form.
  3. Open your inbox and find the message from Trustaroo. Check your spam folder if it is not there after a few minutes.
  4. Follow the link in the email. It opens a page where you set a new password.
  5. Type the new password twice, in the password field and the confirmation field, then confirm.
  6. A confirmation page tells you the password has been changed. Sign in with your email address and the new password.
Use the address you signed up with

The reset link goes to the address stored on your account. If you no longer have access to that inbox, ask an administrator in your organization to change the email address on your user first.

Password rules on the reset page

The new password must meet the same rules as a password change from inside the app: at least 8 characters, with letters, numbers and special characters. Both fields have to match before the page accepts the password.

If the email does not arrive

  • Wait a few minutes and refresh your inbox. Delivery is not instant.
  • Check the spam or junk folder, and any filtered folders your mail client uses.
  • Confirm you typed the address exactly as it is stored on your account, including the domain.
  • Confirm you have a Trustaroo account for that address at all. Signing up creates the account, and a reset link cannot be sent to an address that has none.
  • Request the link once more. Each new request replaces the previous link, so always use the newest email.

Reset links are single use and time limited. A link you already used, or an old link from an earlier request, opens an error instead of the reset page. Request a fresh link and use that one.

Opening the link in a different browser than the one you requested it from is fine. Copying only part of a long URL is not, so use the link in the email rather than retyping it.

New accounts have to confirm their email address before signing in. If you never confirmed yours, you see a screen asking for confirmation rather than the dashboard, and no password is missing at all. Follow the confirmation link in the mail you received when you signed up.

Completing a password reset also marks your email address as confirmed, so an unconfirmed account that resets its password can sign in afterwards.

Store it once, safely

Save the new password in a password manager while you have it on screen. Repeat resets are the most common reason people get locked out on a busy day.
