Industry email templates

The Template picker in the email sequence fills the subject and body with wording written for your sector, so you start from a finished email instead of an empty box. This guide shows how to apply a template and reproduces the English text of every one, so you can pick before you click.

Email automation requires Trustaroo Premium

This is part of Trustaroo Premium. Upgrade from Account and billing in the app to switch it on.

Steps

  1. Open the Automation page and select the Email Sequence panel.
  2. Select Add New Step, or edit an existing step, to expand the form.
  3. In the Template picker, open Industry and choose one of: Hospitality, Healthcare, Beauty & wellness, Automotive, Home services or Retail.
  4. Open Variant and choose Short & friendly, Warm & detailed or Formal & professional. The variant list stays disabled until an industry is selected.
  5. Read the Template preview underneath, which shows the exact subject and body.
  6. Select Apply Template.
  7. Edit the wording if you want, then select Add Step or Update Step.

Clear selection resets the picker without touching the subject and body you already have.

Applying a template overwrites what you typed

Apply Template replaces the contents of Email Subject and Email Body. Apply the template first, then edit, rather than the other way round.

The template language follows the app

Templates exist in English and Dutch. You get the version matching the language Trustaroo is currently displayed in, so switch language before applying if you want the Dutch wording. See Change your language.

The templates

Every template uses the four supported variables, so {{customer_name}}, {{business_name}} and {{review_url}} are already in place. Details in Email template variables.

What the variants change

The variant changes the tone and the length, not the ask. Compare the three retail bodies.

Warm & detailed adds a reason why the feedback matters:

Hello {{customer_name}},

Thank you for visiting {{business_name}}. Your feedback helps us improve the in-store experience. Please leave a short review:
{{review_url}}

With appreciation,
{{business_name}}

Formal & professional keeps its distance and opens with "Dear":

Dear {{customer_name}},

Thank you for shopping with {{business_name}}. We would appreciate your feedback. Please share your experience using the link below:
{{review_url}}

Kind regards,
{{business_name}}

Pick the register your customers already hear from you. A clinic that addresses patients formally in every other message should not suddenly open with "Hi".

Editing after you apply

Templates are a starting point, and a template nobody has touched reads like one. Three small edits make a real difference:

  • Sign off with a person's name instead of the business name.
  • Name the thing they bought or booked: "your table on Saturday", "your MOT".
  • For step 2 and step 3, shorten the wording so the reminder is visibly briefer than the first email.

Keep {{review_url}} on its own line. That is what people click.
