Share your review link on social media
Your followers already like you enough to follow you, which makes them the warmest audience you have. This guide shows you how to put your Trustaroo review link into the places social platforms allow links, and what to post so the ask does not fall flat.
There is no social publishing, scheduling or auto-posting in Trustaroo. This guide is about using your review link inside the social tools you already run. The only outbound messaging Trustaroo does is review-request email in email automation.
Where the link can go
| Place | Notes |
|---|---|
| Profile bio or website field | Permanent, works on every platform, costs nothing to leave there |
| Link-in-bio page | Add "Rate us" as one entry alongside your menu, booking page and shop |
| Feed post caption | On Instagram the caption link is not clickable, so send people to the bio |
| Stories | Use the platform's link sticker, or show the QR code image on screen |
| Facebook page button or pinned post | A pinned post keeps the ask visible without repeating it |
| LinkedIn post or featured section | Good for B2B services, where reviews are read by buyers |
| YouTube video description | Works well after a how-to or behind-the-scenes video |
Copy the link once from the Locations panel with Copy link, then reuse it everywhere. See Share your review link.
What to post
A bare "please review us" performs badly. Give people a reason and a story:
- Show the result. A before-and-after photo, a finished plate, a repaired car. Then: "If we did this for you too, tell us how it went."
- Thank a real reviewer. Screenshot a recent public review, thank the person, then point at your link for anyone else who wants to add theirs.
- Mark a milestone. "We passed 100 reviews this month. Number 101 could be yours."
- Answer a question you get a lot. Useful content first, the ask in the last line.
Post the ask sparingly. Once a month in the feed and a story every few weeks is plenty; the permanent link in the bio does the steady work.
On a story, a printed screen or a video, the QR code image works where a link does not. Download it from the Locations panel with Download QR and drop the PNG onto the image. See Create a Google review QR code.
Rules to respect
- Do not offer discounts, giveaways or free items in return for reviews. Google and most platforms prohibit incentivized reviews, and a public post asking for reviews in exchange for a prize is easy for them to find. See The review filter and platform policies.
- Do not ask for 5 stars. Ask for honest feedback.
- Do not run the ask as a paid ad to a cold audience. You will collect ratings from people who never bought anything, and the platforms treat that as manipulation.
Which link for which account
If you run one social account for several branches, decide before you post. A single link for the main location keeps things simple but mixes your data; separate links per branch keep the dashboard clean but need separate posts or a link-in-bio page with one entry per branch. For most businesses with more than three locations, the link-in-bio page is the tidy answer. See Multi-location setup.
Did it work
Every visit to the link is recorded as an interaction with the device, operating system and browser it came from. A social push shows up as a burst of mobile interactions in the hours after posting, which you can see in the Reviews table and in the scans chart on your dashboard.
