Create your Trustaroo account

You will register a Trustaroo account, confirm your email address and end up with a business profile that already has one location, one short review link and one QR code. It takes about three minutes, plus however long the confirmation email takes to arrive.

Before you start

  • An email address you can open right now. Confirmation is required before your account is fully activated.
  • Ideally the URL of the review page you want happy customers to land on, such as your Google Business Profile or Trustpilot page. You can add it later.

Steps

  1. Go to my.trustaroo.app and start creating an account. The quickest route is the onboarding wizard, which registers you and sets up your business profile in one pass. See Onboarding wizard.
  2. Enter your first name, last name and email address. The email address becomes your sign-in name, so use one you check.
  3. Choose a password. It must be at least 8 characters and contain at least one capital letter, one lowercase letter, one number and one special character from ! @ # $ % ^ & *.
  4. Add your phone number, then agree to the terms of service and the privacy policy. The registration button stays disabled until both are accepted.
  5. Submit the form. Trustaroo tells you that a confirmation message has been sent and sends you back toward the sign-in page.
  6. Open the message from Trustaroo and follow the confirmation link. You will see a confirmation screen when the address is verified.
  7. Sign in at my.trustaroo.app with your email address and password.
Confirm before you rely on the account

Your email address has to be confirmed for the account to be activated. If nothing arrives within a few minutes, check the spam folder and any filtering your mail provider applies, then see Emails not arriving.

What you get immediately

The account you just created holds exactly one business profile, and that profile is created with one location already in it, named Default. That location carries the short link and QR code you can start using straight away. Two settings are pre-filled for you: the review filter is on, and the star threshold is set to 4, so ratings of 4 or 5 are sent to your review page.

Your account is also the owner of the profile. You can invite colleagues later and control what each of them may see; that is covered in Manage users and Roles and permissions.

Rename the default location

Default is a placeholder. Give it the name your customers and your staff would recognize, such as the street or the branch name, before you print anything. See Edit and archive locations.

If you cannot sign in

  • Wrong password. Use the forgotten-password link on the sign-in screen and follow Reset a forgotten password.
  • Password rejected while registering. Re-read the four complexity rules above; a missing special character is the usual cause.
  • Email address already in use. You may already have an account. Try resetting the password instead of registering again, because one account holds one business profile.
