Onboarding wizard step by step

The onboarding wizard is the short, one-question-at-a-time flow that registers your account and creates your business profile in a single pass. It asks five things and ends on a screen where you can download your QR code. Allow about four minutes.

The five questions

  1. What is your email? This becomes your sign-in name. The screen is titled Increase customer reviews with ease. Select Continue to move on, or press Enter.
  2. What is your name? Your own name, not the business name. It is what colleagues see next to your account.
  3. Create a password. The wizard asks for at least 8 characters.
  4. What is the name of your company? Use the name customers would recognize, because it appears on your public review page in the line asking how their experience was.
  5. Where should we redirect your customers if they are happy? Paste the full URL of your Google Business Profile review page or your Trustpilot page, including https://. The field is optional and the placeholder says You can also add this later.

A progress bar runs across the top, and once you are past the first question a back arrow appears next to Continue so you can correct an earlier answer. Answering the last question creates your account, your business profile and your first location.

An empty review page URL has nowhere to send people

If you skip question five, a customer who gives you a high rating reaches the thank-you page but has no review site to continue to. Add the URL in Location Defaults before you share your link or print anything. See Location defaults and Find your Google review link.

The completion screen

When the wizard finishes you land on You are all set! with the subtitle You are now ready to collect reviews. Underneath, a How to collect reviews? panel explains the idea, followed by three numbered options and one secondary action:

  • Option 1: QR code with a Download QR code button. Print it and put it where customers pay, sit or wait.
  • Option 2: Share link with a Copy link button. This copies your short review link to the clipboard so you can paste it into email, WhatsApp or SMS.
  • Option 3: Printable PDF with a Download PDF button. This opens a dialog where you choose a language and a paper size before downloading.
  • Edit business profile takes you into your business profile, where the same QR code, link and PDF stay available along with every setting.

Take at least one of the three, because that is the material your customers actually interact with. Google review QR code and Printable PDF cover both downloads in detail.

What the wizard set up for you

  • One business profile, holding your company name and the review page URL you entered. An account has exactly one business profile.
  • One location named Default, holding the short link and the QR code. Rename it before you print if you have more than one site.
  • The review filter, switched on, with the star threshold set to 4. Ratings of 4 or 5 go to your review page and ratings of 1 to 3 go to a private feedback form. Change either in Location Defaults.

After the wizard

Come back to my.trustaroo.app at any time and open Profile in the navigation to reach the same downloads and settings. Confirm your email address if you have not already, as covered in Create your Trustaroo account.
